ALEXIS SANCHEZ is looking to cut short his holiday and return to pre-season early in the hope of getting fit and forcing a move away from Manchester United.
The Red Devils misfit has had a dreadful season, scoring just once in the Premier League and struggling throughout with injury.
He fell out of favour under the now axed Jose Mourinho and was used as a bit-part substitute by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer towards the back end of the campaign.
And the Chilean star is desperate to quit Old Trafford this summer and make a return abroad away from England.
Sanchez has now returned home to see family and friends in his home country, where he is keeping up his fitness.
But it is understood he will return to Carrington earlier than July 2, when the rest of United are expected for pre-season training.
He will instead come back in late June and get hitting the gym hard in a bid to prove he is ready for the 2019-20 season.
The ex-Arsenal attacker’s representatives have already held talks with Juventus and Inter Milan over a switch to Serie A.
His £505,000-a-week wages are proving a stumbling block though, with over clubs reluctant to match such a huge fee.

An Old Trafford source said: “Alexis is planning to come back earlier than July 2 and 3 which is the official start date of pre-season training.
“We are also expecting Luke Shaw and Phil Jones towards the end of June, which is again purely off their own back.
“Alexis is off home to Chile and also planning a visit to Spain during his time off before he comes back and we will see what happens then.”
