Holly Willoughby gags as she’s forced to swallow a lump of Vitamin C during ‘stressful’ beauty segment on This Morning

HOLLY Willoughby and Phillip Schofield gagged as she was forced to swallow a lump of Vitamin C on This Morning.

The telly duo were visibly repulsed by the red goo that was forced upon them during a “stressful” beauty segment on the show.

Facialist and Skincare expert Caroline Hirons raved about the benefits of taking Vitamin C and Vitamin E orally, as well as applying SPF onto the skin for ALL ages.

Caroline sped through a series of products as Phil tried to keep up, but Holly, 38, was intrigued and tried out her many lotions.

But when the hosts came to the final product, they were not as enthusiastic when Caroline presented them with two shot glasses.

And she scolded: “It’s NOT that bad!”

One fan said: “LMAO!! Watching Holly & Phil down Vitamin C Shots literally has to be the highlight of my day!!, especially the look on Phil’s Face”

It comes after Shofield was left red-faced on Monday when he was forced to watch a clip of himself tripping over in front of the entire This Morning Live audience.

The footage left co-host Holly giggling before admitting she too completely missed the stage step.

Holly joked Phil’s fall was like “something from the Matrix” as the host attempted to save himself from the awkward trip.

Holly Willoughby couldn’t contain her giggles after seeing a clip of Phillip Schofield fall during the this Morning Live event on today’s show

The trip happened as Phil gave the audience a jolly goodbye.

Unaware in the moment that her co-host was falling, Holly – who was sporting a pair of heels – then stumbled down the same step.

Phil revealed the embarrassing fall at the start of the show – admitting he’d scoured the internet for hours trying to check if it had been caught on camera.

Phil took a tumble in front of the audience after missing the step

Fortunately – so he thought – he was unable to find any evidence of the moment – until he made the confession to This Morning viewers.

One viewer revealed they did capture the fall and quickly sent in the video – much to Holly’s delight.

Holly and Phil joined the rest of the This Morning team to host the event live in Birmingham on Thursday and Friday.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford then took over the reins at the weekend.

The pair were shown footage of the fall from two different angles

Sharing a picture from the event on Instagram on Saturday, Holly wrote: “Book signing backstage at #tmlive #trulyhappybaby

“So lovely meeting so many of you who have read and been helped by the book… it’s one of the things I’m most proud of…

“My sister @ladywilloughby and I wrote it together a while back now and it’s wonderful to think how many mums and dads have read this book over the years… 💕
